Obituary of Milo Chapin Larson

Milo Chapin Larson, age 92, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at his home. Milo was born in the Town of Oakland on September 25, 1920, the son of Emmett and Mary Isadora (Chapin) Larson. He was born and grew up in the same neighborhood where he lived his whole life. Milo graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1940 and learned welding in technical college. He was a dairy farmer and silo builder. On September 3, 1950, Milo married Evelyn Prust at the Moravian Church in Lake Mills, WI. Evelyn preceded him in death on July 26, 2010. Milo was a member of the Oakland Seventh Day Adventist Church. He loved BMW and Harley Davidson Motorcycle Rallies, fishing, raising cows, and above all loved to use his photography skills to help others document their lives. In 2001 Milo drove to Alaska with his fishing boat to fulfill his dream of visiting Alaska. Surviving are: His Sons: Myron A. (Linda) Larson, Fort Atkinson, Aren (Sharon Ferderer) Larson, Madison, Michael Kirk Larson, Fort Atkinson, and Leif (Rebecca) Larson, Janesville, Grandchildren: Cassandra (Jason) Jakobsons, Justin (Greta) Larson, Carissa (Isaac) Weigand, and Savannah Larson, Great Grand Children: Isadora "Izze" Jakobsons, Judah Jakobsons, Tucker Larson, and Owen Weigand, and two sisters: Inez Sutter, of Pickens, SC, and Alice (Ken) Maslen, of Camino, CA . Milo was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and three sisters: Clara Loesch, Pearl Garrett, and Leona Erdman. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, September 16, 2013 with a short visitation from 10AM-11AM at the Oakland Seventh-Day Adventist Church, W8791 Advent Road,Town of Oakland, Wisconsin. Interment will be in the Oakland Seventh-Day Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5PM on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 1008 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson, WI.
