Monday, January 16-April 17 2023 at 9:00 AM - 11 AM | Faith Community Church

GriefShare is a support group that helps to bring healing to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one or friend. The 13-week sessions are combined with confidential discussions and a manual designed from a Christian perspective for personal reflection and journaling.

Each support group is led by people who understand that you are going through one of life's most difficult experiences and want to help you on your journey. Whether your loss is recent, or the pain is still overwhelming long after, you are welcome.

Local groups that are beginning in January include the following:

Tuesday, January 10 - April 4 at 6:30-8pm - St. Mark Lutheran Church | 2921 Mt. Zion Ave., Janesville, (603) 754-8115

Monday, January 16 - April 17 at 9 - 11 am - Faith Community Church | 2931 Lucerne Drive, Janesville, (608) 758-2850

To learn more and to find other groups that will be meeting near you, we encourage you to visit their website at griefshare.org. New groups, including ones in Madison, will be starting throughout the year and include "Loss of a Spouse" and "Surviving the Holidays" events. The cost for each group is $25, but scholarships are often available through the churches if needed.

The Circle of Weavers Grief Support Group

Please join us every first Thursday of the month for The Circle of Weavers - a grief support group for younger widows.

6:30-8 PM at Monona Lutheran Church, 5511 Monona Drive, Madison, WI.

The Circle of Weavers is a grief support group for women whose partner has died. The untimeliness of the death can present unique challenges for younger widows that may be different than their older counterparts.

Women in our groups are typically between 25-65 years of age and have experienced the death between one month to 8 years ago. We split into two groups to serve the needs of attendees.

The Circle of Weavers is a supportive, informal drop-in peer support group facilitated by a grief counselor.
