I have known Harry since we played in the sand boxes together with Dick Tollakson, who has also since passed. This was in 1945 and everyone at the lake was busy remodeling all the cottages into homes...I was the paperboy. We would do swimming in the summer and skating in the winter. He and I were reading the same adventure books and would re-enact the stories in the huge gully. We all graduated from Fort High and went our separate ways...but when I got back from the Navy and was married...looked up Harry at the bar in Helenville. When he had Dreamland and was also married we would annually celebrate our mutual anniversary by going to Beloit or Madison, etc.
Visited Harry at Jefferson. He is in a better place & will be much missed !

I grew up at Lake Koshkonong and was at the Gutermuth house often....it seemed to me as a child that we were all one big family. Harry taught me how to swim in the lake....many years ago. Harry was about ten years older than me. I remember Harry and Carol...the whole family. I'm sorry to see that Harry Jr. died at such a relatively young age.
