What a shock, LaVern and I were playmates way back when. We lived next to each other when both our folks lived south of Fort across from the South Branch School, on highway 12. I remember LaVern's mother made great fresh fried potatoes that always smelled good. LaVern and I sort of lost touch after the Second World War and my folks and I moved to Seattle, Washington.
