Obituary of Mary Lynn LaBelle

Mary Lynn LaBelle, age 56, of Whitewater, WI lost the courageous battle that she fought for almost 4 years. She died on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. Mary was born on May 11, 1953 in Burlington, Wisconsin the daughter of Edward and Shirley (Lemmerhirt) LaBelle. She attended Burlington High School and graduated from Gateway Technical College. She worked in at the then Tobin Drug Store in the photo department, eventually becomming the Photo Department Manager in three of Tobin's studios. Mary later moved to Whitewater where she opened and operated The LaBelle Portrait Studio for more than 30 years. She became known by many as "the picture lady" of Whitewater. She was a certified Master Photographer, and received many awards for her photography and portraits. Mary is survived by her mother: Shirley; sister: Kathy (Larry) Busch, of Bossier City, Louisiana; brother: Thomas (Mary) LaBelle, of New Berlin; special nieces and nephews: Erin and Ian LaBelle, Tim Busch, Kerry (James) Mason, and Jessica (David) Bungard; 2 uncles: Lowell (Yvonne) Lemmerhirt, and William (Jeanne) LaBelle; 2 aunts: Beverly (William) Ford, and Joy Kerkhoff; cousins: Steve and Jim LaBelle, John, James, and Daniel Duell, Amy Kay (Michael) Norseth, Marcus Ford, and Jacqueline (Ziggy) Kowalski.Mary's constant companion was her dog, a King Charles Spaniel named "Leo". Mary was preceded in death by the love of her life, her dad, Edward, with whom she spent many days fishing in Canada; her grandparents: Louis and Minnie LaBelle, and Roy and Margie Lemmerhirt. A visitation and time of rememberence will be held from 5-7PM on Monday, January 25, 2010 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, Wisconsin. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30PM on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home in Burlington, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, a Mary LaBelle Memorial Fund is being established by her family and will be disbursed locally per Mary�s wishes.
