Amy and family. Your Dad put up a courageous fight and your family was courageously by his side until the very end. God Bless you all. I hope Thanksgiving was ok for all of you and I hope that the wonderful memories you made got you through the holiday.

Liz and I are just shocked to read in the paper tonight that Lou passed away. Lou and Lou Jr enhanced our lives by building a gorgeous room surrounded by windows overlooking our gardens in Madison. Lou was just so warm, funny and it was obvious how he loved life.
We have some wonderful photos of Lou at work on the addition and he is never without a smile and, well, just one of the most open and sincere and helpful people we have ever met.
We are so sorry for your loss, Chick. We met you when you came to our home to see Lou on the work site. And to all of Lou's family and friends our deepest sympathy. His death is truly a loss as he was a wonderful man.

Among the officiating stories that can be shared in mixed company...
Lou and I were umpirng a college softball game, Lou had the plate. A coach was arguing with Lou (imagine that) about batters using the "running bunt". Lou's comment? "Coach, you want me to watch their feet or the strike zone?" Classic! Lou had a presence that was enjoyed and will be missed by all those involved in sports in the area. The Pitt family is in our thoughts and prayers. RIP...

Hearing about Lou hurts and I want to pass on my condolences to his family. Lou was one of the key folks from my high school years and I had the pleasure of being his teammate several times over. We also baled a lot of hay together with Mike Krebs during the summers. What will I always remember about Lou? He was loud and always had that great big smile. It was so good to see him at the reunion last year. What a bummer we won't see him at the next one. RIP, my friend.

When I worked at Williams Center at UW-
Whitewater, you always knew when Lou was in the building!! He had a passion for life and had an ability to bring out the best in you. I loved sparring with him, even though he usually won! I pray that he is now in a better place.
Peace be with you, Lou.
Your friend,
Diane Burkhardt Joseph

I am so very sorry for your loss. I have known Lou for many years and the things I remember the most of him is his laugh, his smile and his positive words. He was always a hoot and a blessing to be around. I will always remember his kind words he had to say about everyone but most of all is his kindness. I have so many fond memories of Lou that it will not be the same on this earth without him. I am sure he looking down on us and remember somethings at his end.
May he rest in peace.
Always,
Njari Crosby
