Obituary of Philip Michael Orlando

Philip Michael Orlando, age 76, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the his home.   Philip was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 26, 1935, the son of George and Catherine (Fucarino) Orlando. He served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. On November 11, 1961, Philip married Barbara Schneider in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Philip worked as a letter carrier for the United States Post Office for 33 years, retiring in 1990. In 2005, Philip and Barbara moved to Fort Atkinson. Philip was a member St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson, the American Legion, VFW Post #8400, the Marine Corp League, and the Boulder Juction Historical Society. Philip did alot of voulunteer work and was a WWII military Historian. Surviving are: his wife: Barbara Orlando, Fort Atkinson, WI, four daughters: Diana (David) Erickson, Lake Elmo, MN, Maria Baldauf, Cambridge, WI, Gina (Brian) Schulz, Germantown, WI, and Lisa (Bruce) Knapp, Normal, IL., Grandchildren: Pamela Erickson, Kelly Erickson, and Daniel Erickson, Zac Baldauf, Micaelen Baldauf, and Payton Baldauf, and Alex, Mayer, and Ben Schulz. Philip was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Josephine Vaccarella, a brother George Orlando and a granddaughter Raina Mayer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 03, 2012, at 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1660 Endl Blvd, Fort Atkinson,Wisconsin with Father Brian Wilk celebrating. Burial with military rites will be held in the spring in the Cemetery of the Pines, Boulder Junction, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 10:30AM on Friday, February 3, 2012 at the church until Mass. Memorials may be made to Make A Wish or to Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson, WI. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin is assisting the family
