I am just finding out about Uncle Doug's passing. He was truly an amazing man. I remember many family outings at Roger and Jean's. Uncle Doug and Aunt Ginger were great role models. He lived a great life, with the love of his life, I will miss his smile and shenanigans.
Love,

To Ginger and the family,
I am sorry to hear of Dougs passing. We were room mates at the WSP academy when it was temporarily located in Whitewater in 1968.
I remember Doug’s steady perseverance through the academy. As I recall he was the oldest recruit in our class. I recall him passing me and many other cadets as we were running up and down the hills around Whitewater. ..
RIP,
Al Lohman, Egg Harbor

I had the most distinct pleasure of working with Doug while I was a member of the Walworth County Sheriff's Office. Doug was a true gentleman in every way. He treated the general public the same way he treated his fellow law enforcement officers, with kindness and respect. Doug always went out of his way to help anyone and everyone. I considered Doug a good friend and enjoyed our time together. I can thank him for teaching me to enjoy hamburgers at the Elk with only mustard...no ketchup!! He was a wonderful man and will be missed. Rest well Doug...you've earned it.

My sincere condolences to the entire family. Doug was everything the obituary said and much more. He was a good friend and colleague. My memories of Doug were nothing short of admiration and a certain amount of awe in the way he looked at, and lived his life. May he Rest In Peace knowing his life was nothing less than honorable to the citizens he served.
