Obituary of Clarence L Trewyn

Clarence LeRoy “Mike” or “Tulip” Trewyn, 90, of Whitewater passed away on December 1, 2023 at Alden Estates in Jefferson, Wisconsin.

Mike was born on October 27, 1933 to John and Nellie (Gray) Trewyn.  He started working in construction at a young age and worked for J.P Cullen in Janesville for many years.  In 1951, Mike met Frances Courtney and they wed on December 12, 1953.  Together they had four children. 

He enjoyed spending time in his garden and giving away his harvest.  Mike also enjoyed helping others with rototilling their gardens and helping neighbors with farm work.  Above all, Mike enjoyed spending time with his family.

Mike is survived by his children, Danney (Joy) Trewyn, Irv (JoAnne) Trewyn, Cynthia Badtke, Douglas Trewyn; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dick Trewyn, Tom Trewyn, Pearl Luebke, Kathy Laskowski; Roger Trewyn; many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Trewyn; parents, John and Nellie Trewyn; son-in-law, Larry Badtke; 11 siblings.

A memorial visitation will take place at Nitardy Funeral Home in Whitewater from 1PM until 3PM on Saturday, December 16, 2023.  An inurnment will take place at later date.
