Obituary of Andrew L Garno

Andrew Lee Garno, 31, Jefferson, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 23, 2023.

Andrew was born on December 11, 1991, in Loveland, CO to Philip and Lisa (Cathlynn) Garno.  He graduated from Thompson Valley High School in Loveland, CO and attended Madison Area Technical College and studied Culinary Arts.  Andrew was employed at the Pine Cone in Johnson Creek for several years and loved all his work friends.  He was an avid gamer, enjoyed animated arts, origami and enjoyed reading about World War II.  Mostly Andrew really loved to just kick back, laugh and hang out with his family and friends.  His smile could light up a room and his belly-laugh was infectious!

He is survived by his father, Philip Garno, step-mom Katie Garno of Sun Prairie, WI; step-father, Todd Carlson of Loveland CO; fiancé Sarah Knox, son Samuel Garno of Fort Atkinson, WI; step-sister and step brother in-law Sarah and Parker Lewis of Gettysburg, PA; step-brother Samuel Johnsrud of Sun Prairie, WI; future in-laws father in-law Stacy Knox, mother in-law Dianne Knox of Fort Atkinson, WI: sister in-law and brother in-law Heather and Rich Canada from Savage, MN; brothers in-law Adam and Seth Knox of Fort Atkinson, WI.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Carlson; sister, Kayla Garno; grandparents, Marie and Donald Cathlynn and Pete and Louanne Garno. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023.  Visitation is at 10am with a service to follow at 11:00am at the Nitardy Funeral Home 1008 Madison Ave. Fort Atkinson, WI 53538.  Friends are welcomed to attend the visitation and are welcome to stay for the service.  Online condolences may be made at www.nitardyfuneralhome.com
