Obituary of Lucille Mickelson

Lucille ‘Lucy’ (Morkved) Mickelson, of Fort Atkinson, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family Thursday, August 10th 2023, at the age of 85.  She was born October 9th, 1937, in Beloit Wisconsin.

Lucy loved camping, attending Cranberry fest every year, throwing horseshoes, and she loved animals, especially her cats. Lucy loved her Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Bucks.  She loved traveling and making the best out of life with her friends and her family.  Always the life of the party, she will be missed by all who knew her and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her children: Randy Morkved, Val (Michael) Merriner, Andrew Morkved, Matthew (Amanda) Morkved and Jonathan Morkved; her grandchildren: Crystal (Jason) Little, Olivia (Chris) Hale, August Pope, Christopher Miller, Jordan (Mary) Morkved, Eric Merriner, Austin Morkved, Danny Morkved, and Hayleigh Morkved; as well as 10 great-grandchildren; step Children: Shelly (Bill) Jones and Laura (Todd) Roller, and 7 step-grand children. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life Cary Mickelson; Raymond Morkved (father of children); and children Vicki Morkved, Ray Morkved Jr, Sonja Issacson, and Roxanne Hall.

A visitation will be held Friday, August 18th from 3pm-5pm at Nitardy Funeral Home 1008 Madison Ave, Fort Atkinson, WI 53538.

A celebration of life will be held later in October 2023.
