Obituary of Gale Gordon Bush

Gale Gordon Bush, 80 years old, passed away peacefully at home on August 2, 2023.

Gale was born at home to Gordon and Arlene Bush on November 7, 1942 in Marquette County, WI. He attended school in Markesan, WI. After high school he joined the US Navy for 2 years. Gale then drove semi for 50 years, hauling oversized loads coast-coast.

In 1969, he met the love of his life, Marlys (Marti) Ackerman, and they were married on July 20, 1973, in Lowell, WI at the Salem Lutheran Church. In 1974, he and Marti started a small trucking company (Mar Gale Trucking). He loved and cared for their two Persian cats, which recently passed at 18 and 19 years old. He even took the cats in the truck with him.

He is survived by his wife Marti, brother Randy of Shady Point, OK, brother Steve (Trudi), Fairwater, WI, brother-in-law Mike Dornfeld, special niece Gena (Craig) Ganske, many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, Thomas, sister Susan Dornfeld, and sister Virginia Long.

Services for Gale will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the Nitardy Funeral Home located at 208 North Park Street, Cambridge, WI 53523. Visitation will be from 3pm-5pm. Service at 5pm with military honors.
