Rick and I send our sincere condolences to Roger's family. We met Roger at Abiding Shepherd about 15 years ago, and learned to appreciate his whole hearted love for his Lord. Roger was strong in his beliefs and demonstrated a servants heart. He enjoyed sharing his faith with many people, and loved reading the Bible and attending Bible studies. Roger made it a point to memorize the names of all the people who attended Abiding Shepherd. He will be sorely missed!

I worked at APV Crepaco 23 years and enjoyed working with Roger. I enjoyed his enthusiasm, his deep voice and many thought provoking conversations which always ended with smiles. He was a good worker but fun to kid around with, I'll just end with a pun: Roger was anything but rude! You can BANK on that! RIP

We extend our sincere sympathy to the Rude Family as you mourn the passing of Roger. Treasure the memories and share them often.
My history with the Rude family goes back to our our fathers, Carl and August; They knew each other through our need for gravel and Carl's need for a team of horses....Carl had the gravel and Augie had the horses!! Friendship grew, Deerfield and Cambridge were high school sports competitors, but I did not know Ann. However, a few years later Ann and I became roommates at UW Stout....then known as Stout State College. We shared family stories and a few rides from Menomonie to Deerfield/Cambridge for holidays and family visits. Another few years pass and we marry guys, Dean and Steven, from neighboring towns of Cambridge and Greenwood. We now live within 20 miles of each other continuing our friendship and sharing stories from years gone by. Life is generous and filled with many gifts.

Both my husband and I worked along side of Roger for many years at Crepaco. Roger demonstrated a strong work ethic and always helpful to others to those around him. I remember him as thoughtful, kind, and encouraging. He showed passion for doing a job well done, and took on tasks that many would shy from. He and I were friends and spoke often about our Lord. I remember him, that even in the worst of times, when carrying a full load, assisting his mother’s care, dealing his own illness with kidney disease, yet still coming into work, he still remained faithful to his calling. I remember him in his seriousness and I remember him when he would let go and his laughter would light up the entire area we worked inside. I would love getting a booming laugh out of Roger, that would make my day!
As a female working in a machine shop, earning the respect of my colleagues was always something I would strive for, and I felt I won not only Roger’s friendship, but respect. I will always remember him by his strong nature, his faith in God, and his compassion for those in need. He served his time well on this journey of life, I only pray that he found peace and happiness in these years last that I have not seen him. I smile for Roger now, I can hear him roar out a laugh, because I know his struggles are ended and I know his soul will rest and live on forever in the arms of Jesus. Peace to his family during this time.
