Obituary of Roberta Lee Herrmann

Roberta "Bobbie" Lee Herrmann, age 90, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Alden Estate of Countryside in Jefferson, WI. Roberta was born in Louisville, KY on September 4, 1922, the daughter of Bryan Marcellus and Catherine Christine (Scholl) Wigginton. In her early days, Bobbie entertained for the USO during the WWII. On April 4, 1953, Bobbie married Walter Herrmann in Evanston, Illinois. Bobbie and Walter renewed their wedding vows at St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights, Illinois on July 25, 1970. Bobbie worked in retail customer service. Bobbie was a devoted wife who loved time spent with family. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson, the Council for Catholic Women, Fort Atkinson Women's Club, and Newcomers. Bobbie loved people, music, movies, dancing, and going out for breakfast with friends. She loved doing crafts which included sewing, painting, quilting, and wood crafts. Bobbie collected angels and dolls and enjoyed traveling. Bobbie had a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother. Bobbie always greeted people with a hug. Surviving are: Husband: Walter Herrmann, Fort Atkinson, WI, Son: Ben "Jack" (Yvonne) Herrmann, Longmont, CO and Daughter: Edie (Terry) Hemmeter, Wonder Lake, IL, Grandchildren: Julie Herrmann, Mike (Lisa) Herrmann, Daniel (Lana) Herrmann, Christopher Hemmeter, John Hemmeter, Andrew (Robin) Hemmeter, and Katie Hemmeter, and Seven Great-grandchildren. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, her son: Robert Joski, twin brother: Robert Wigginton, sisters: Dorothy Leverenz and Edith Romano A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013, at 12:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1660 Endl Blvd, Fort Atkinson, WI with Father Brian Wilk celebrating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 10AM- 12 Noon on Friday, March 15, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Atkinson. The Parish Rosary will be at 11:30AM, with the Mass of Celebration following at Noon. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to Rainbow Hospice Care of Jefferson, WI.
