Obituary of Verne Otto Febock

Verne Otto Febock, age 90, of London, Wisconsin passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 at his home. Verne was born in London, Wisconsin on November 17, 1922 , the son of Otto and Meta(Kuhl) Febock. On February 26, 1945, Verne married Lois Arlene Frey at the Oakland-Cambridge Presbyterian Church Parsonage in Cambridge, Wisconsin. Lois preceded him in death on February 8, 2012. Starting at age 6, Vern was responsible for taking care of the horses on the farm. At age 18 he and his cousin "Pink" built a tractor to replace the horses. Verne served on the Cambridge Fire Commision, Cambridge School Board, was on the Board of Directors for Lake Ripley Country Club and was an active member of the London Community Center. He loved trap shooting, bowling and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his Packers, Badgers, Brewers and the Milwaukee Braves.Verne was a member of the London Moravian Church in London, Wisconsin. Verne is survived by his children: Jon (Mary) Febock, Dale (Ann) Febock, and Mark "Fritz" Febock, all of London, WI, daughter-in-law: Sandy (Greg) Vike, St. Clairsville, Ohio, 10 grandchildren: Sara (John) Rivers, David (Michele) Febock, Chad (Nikki) Vike, Leslie (Ben) Fugate, Kelly (Kent) Bindl, Tara Febock, Luke Febock, Megan(fiance; Bob Stilling) Febock, Amanda Febock, and Emily Febock, and 10 Great-grandchildren. Verne was preceded in death by his parents, his son Lynn Febock in 1970, and his wife Lois. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Cambridge, Wisconsin with Rev. Jane Follmer Zekoff officiating. Burial will follow in the Kroghville Cemetery, Town of Lake Mills, Wisconsin. Friends may call on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 4-7pm at the Nitardy Funeral Chapel, 208 N. Park St., Cambridge, WI and after 10AM on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Cambridge, Wisconsin until the time of the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to the London Moravian Church, the London Community Center or Rainbow Hospice.
