Obituary of John Herman Henning

John Herman Henning, 69 of Janesville, Wisconsin, passed away March 26th at Rock Haven Nursing Home due to prostate cancer. John was born on March 11, 1944 in Marshfield, Wisconsin an only child of Curtis and Evelyn (Herman) Henning. He received a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from UW-Whitewater and in his life was employed at Arthur Anderson, Pratt, Weiler and Company to name a few. John fell in love with Maryann Karnosky and they married on September 20, 1969. He and Maryann began their life together in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and then moved to Fort Atkinson where they raised their two daughters. John was a passionate lover of food, sports, his grandkids and the Lord Jesus Christ. He was very active at Faith Community Church in Fort Atkinson until he moved to Janesville where he was a member of the River Hills Community Church for the last 6 years of his life. John was full of spunk, had a great sense of humor and carried a big presence yet was a very gentle and caring man. John was survived by daughters Anne Henning Silveus and husband Matt Silveus of Janesville, WI, and Linda Henning Austin and husband Chad Austin of Savage, MN. and 6 wonderful grandchildren, Matt Jr., Nicholas, Natalie, Gabriel, Annalise and Katie. He was pre-deceased by his parents Curtis and Evelyn Henning and his wife Maryann Henning who passed away in March of 2004. A Memorial Service for John will be held on Saturday March 30th at 4pm at River Hills Community Church in Janesville WI, with a Memorial Visitation beforehand from 3-4pm.
