Obituary of Gregory James Reid

Gregory James Reid, age 62, of Jefferson, Wisconsin passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Alden Estates of Countryside in Jefferson, Wisconsin. Gregory was born in Belvidere, Illinois on February 2, 1951 the son of Clarence and Margaret Rose (McKeown) Reid Jr. Gregory was born with Down's Syndrome which limited his life's activities. Despite this disability, Gregory worked at Illinois Growth Enterprises in Rockford, Illinois for several years. Gregory was an avid Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs fan who found friends wherever he went. He especially enjoyed the time spent at the Belvidere VFW with his Father, and many friends. Gregory was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are: Brother: Michael J. Reid (Terri) Mt. Juliet, Tennessee Aunt: Patricia McKeown, Belvidere, Illinois Nieces, Nephews, and cousins in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania A Celebration of Gregory's life will be held on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Highland Garden of Memories in Belvidere, Illinois at 11:00AM. Gregory will be buried next to his Father, and Mother. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin assisted the family.
