Obituary of Glenn Lyle Millard

Glenn Lyle Millard, age 91, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Fairhaven in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Glenn was born in Whitewater, Wisconsin on June 12, 1921, the son of Lawrence and Jessi (Ebbert) Millard. Glenn graduated from Whitewater City High School. Glenn served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII flying B 24's and B17's with 34 missions over Germany. On July 2, 1942, Glenn married Shirley White. Shirley preceded him in death on May 1, 2004. On August 6, 2005, Glenn married Louella Zimmerman. Glenn worked as an aircraft mechanic. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Whitewater, WI, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, The Palmyra Flying Club, the Flying Hawks, the Whitewater Township Board, and the Reliance School Board. Surviving are: his wife: Louella Millard, Whitewater, WI, Two Sons: Roger (Susan) Millard, Whitewater, WI and Steven (Phyllis) Millard, Waukesha, WI, Grandchildren: Ben (Tracy) Millard, Elizabeth (Eric) Millard Rambicure, Jeffrey (Ann E.) Millard, Emily (Terry) Swartz, and Roger (Lynn) Millard Jr., Great-grandchildren: Mason, Zoe, Trevor, Addison, Quinn, Molly, Aaron, and Rachael. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Russell Millard. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 15, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church, 145 S. Prairie Street, Whitewater,WI. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 4-6PM on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, WI and after 10AM on Monday, April 15, 2013 at the church until the time of the services.
