Obituary of Donna Marie Frye

Donna Marie Frye passed away peacefully on April 19, 2013 at the age of 53 at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Mark Bickle. Donna was born May 11, 1959 to Donald and Elizabeth (Goetz) Frye in Milwaukee and moved to Fort Atkinson as a teenager, graduating from Fort Atkinson High School in 1977. She became a Registered Nurse after completing her studies at Truman College in Chicago. She practiced in both hospital and home-health care settings where she found her passion as an advocate for her patients. She is survived by her two daughters, Jamie Ann Vollmer of Chicago and Amanda Rose Steele of Scottsdale, Arizona. She is also survived by her mother, Elizabeth Frye of Milton; her sisters JoAnn (Mark) Bickle and Janet (Hugh) Wakefield of Fort Atkinson, and Sarah (John) Ireland of West Allis; her brothers Jeffrey (Karla) Frye of Rhinelander, James (Darlene) Frye of New Berlin and Gerald (Judy) Frye of Mequon; former husband Mark Steele of Chicago; many nephews and nieces and a multitude of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Frye. Funeral Services will be held at 3:30PM on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin with Rev. Bryan Engfer officiating. Friends may call after 2PM on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, WI until the time of the services.
