Obituary of Walter James Zimmerman

Walter James Zimmerman, age 92, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Facility in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin. Walter was born in Sullivan, Wisconsin on May 22, 1920, the son of Walter George and Laura Elizabeth (Donnley) Zimmerman. On October 4, 1941, Walter married Ethel Box in Palmyra, Wisconsin. Walter was an avid member of the First United Methodist Church in Whitewater, WI. He enjoyed coloring, crossword puzzles, and being a handyman. Surviving are: Children: Carol Zimmerman, Ruby (Jim) Case, Robert Zimmerman, and Daniel (Roxanne) Zimmerman, Grandchildren: Shana, Amanda,Tanya, Tiffany, Laura, Jeff, Jerry, Lisa, Lynda, Jennie, and James, Great-grandchildren: Devin, Colin, Christiana, Chase, Aurora, and Sean, and Two Sisters: Anna Mae Jaquith and Susie Welter. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ethel, sons: Ernie and Kenneth, a brother Earl, and a great-grandson Joshua. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 16, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church, 145 S. Prairie Street, Whitewater,WI with Rev. Susan Bresser officiating. Burial will be in the Cushman Cemetery, Town of Hebron, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 10AM on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the church until the time of the services.
