Obituary of Mabel Martha Lilly Vogel

Mabel Martha Lilly Vogel, age 95, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Alden Estates of Countryside in Jefferson, Wisconsin. Mabel was born in Watertown, Wisconsin on July 8, 1917, the daughter of Gustav and Laura (Hoof) Wolf. On February 26, 1938, Mabel married Wilfred John Emil Vogel. Wilfred preceded her in death on January 13, 1987. Mabel was a homemaker and she worked at Nasco until she retired in 1981. Mabel was a member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Cambridge, WI. Surviving are: Children: Dennis (Mary Lynn) Vogel, Jefferson, WI, Bonnie Beckard, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Steven Vogel, Whitewater, WI, Grandchildren: Mindy (Dave) Witte, Fort Atkinson, Jeremy (Jenny) Vogel, Fort Atkinson, WI, Denise (Jason) Gantner, Wauwatosa, WI, Christopher Beckard, Waukesha, WI, Daniel Beckard, Missouri, Craig Smith, LaCrosse, WI, and Nicholas Smith, Watertown, WI., Great-grandchildren: Emma and Cayden Witte, Owen and Gavin Vogel, Lilly and Rhiannon Gantner, Ethan Beckard, and Autumn Smith. Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson Mitchell Vogel, and siblings: Leonard, August, Gustav Jr., Elmer, Lawrence, and Clarence Wolf, Alyce Goebli, Dorothy Binger, and Lucille Becker. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at 10:30 AM at the St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, 413 E. North Street, Cambridge,WI with Rev. Jeffrey Schallert officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 9:00AM on Wednesday May 22, 2013 at the church until the time of the services.
