Obituary of Joshua Paul Sonheim

Joshua Paul Sonheim, age 28, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 while serving his country in the U.S. Army National Guard. Joshua was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin on July 5, 1984. He attended Whitewater High School. Josh served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Army National Guard for 10 years, serving one tour in Iraq and two tours in Afghanistan. Josh married Kristen Gildenzoph. Josh was a true Packer fan, he enjoyed sports, fishing, and going to the short track races. Surviving are: His parents: Allen and Donna Ames, Janesville, WI, Wife: Kristen Sonheim, Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Children: Jacob & Eliza Sonheim, Siblings: Benjamin Parker, Edgerton, WI, Victoria Winger, Stevens Point, WI, Cecilia Peterson, Watertown, WI, Christopher (Joanna) Ames, Edgerton, WI, Anna Ames, Janesville, WI, and Jennifer Ames, Edgerton, WI, Grandmother: Gladys Heelein, Elkhorn, WI, Six nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Josh was preceded in death by his grandfather Frank Heelein and Uncle Ronnie Ames. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 10:00 AM at the CrossPointe Community Church, 445 N. Warner Road, Whitewater, WI with Reverends Russ Walker and Ryan Koenig officiating. Burial with military rites will be at the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, Wisconsin.
