Obituary of Grace Pauline Cullen

Grace P. Cullen of Fort Atkinson (93), born on April 15, 1920 in Palmyra Wisconsin, was called to the Lord�s eternal home on May 25, 2013. She graduated from Palmyra High School in 1939 and married Donald Kramer in November of 1940. That marriage produced two sons, Phillip and Kenneth. Phillip entered the Navy in the early 1960�s and reenlisted for and extended tour of duty including several years in Viet Nam. Upon discharge he worked in the electronics industry until his death in 1991. Kenneth went into the Air Force for four years and then went to college in Chicago. He became a college professor and taught for 36 years. He retired in 2007 and presently resides in a northwest suburb of Chicago with his wife Cynthia (Suarez) Kramer. Grace moved to southern California in 1966 where she met and later married Richard Cullen. They were married for 24 years until his death on July 26, 1996. She then moved back to southern Wisconsin and resided at Riverview Manor in Fort Atkinson for many years and moved to Wellington Meadows Assisted Living in early 2011. She was forever grateful to the friends she made over the past years in Fort and especially thankful to the staff at Wellington Meadows and Rainbow Hospice for the thoughtful and compassionate care received in her final years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and received communion regularly through a Minister of Care (Linda Caccitolo). She has two grandchildren, Ruth who resides in Florida and Jeffery who lives in San Francisco. She has several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, and nephews, many of them are the children and grandchildren of her sister Minnie and brother Melvin. She was predeceased in death by all of her sisters and brothers, Ethel, Minnie, Florence, Eleanor, Melvin, and Homer as well as her parents Walter and Edna Kuntz. Nitardy Funeral Home will be assisting in the cremation and interment. There will be no local services but rather a private graveside service and burial at a later date. She will be laid to rest at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine, IL next to her husband Richard and son Phillip.
