Obituary of Helen Louise Millard

Helen Louise Millard, age 92, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Fairhaven in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Helen was born in LaGrange, Wisconsin on June 13, 1921, the daughter of Nels R. and Maude (Blake) Nelson. Helen graduated from Whitewater City High School. On December 24, 1942, Helen married Russell Millard at the First United Methodist Church in Whitewater. Russell preceded her in death on February 6, 1992. Helen worked as a bookkeeper for Badgerland Co-Op for 28 years prior to her retirement. Helen was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Whitewater. She enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, watching game shows and dancing with her husband Russ. Surviving are: Four Children: Son: James Millard, Oregon, WI, Trudy (Pete) Brokmeier, Whitewater, WI, Joyce (Richard) Howe, Fort Atkinson, WI and Son: Gary (Lynnette) Millard, Janesville, WI, Ten grandchildren, and Eleven great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother Alvin Nelson. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church, Whitewater, WI with Rev. Susan Bresser officiating. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 10AM on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the church until the time of the services. The Nitardy Funeral Home is assisting the family.
