Obituary of George Franklin Smith

George Franklin Smith, age 91, of Cambridge, WI, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at the of home his daughter and son-in-law in Cambridge, WI. George was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts on July 15, 1921, the son of George F. and Mary (Conery) Smith. He served his Country in the U.S. Navy as a Quartermaster 3rd Class. George graduated from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts on May 28, 1950. He worked for the US Department of Agriculture as a meat inspector. Surviving are: His daughter and son-in-law: Cheri and David Sanders. Grandchildren: Lisa Stern, Tina Sanders, and Teri Beckman, Great-grandchildren: Abby, Andrew, and April Stern, and Porter and Aspen Beckman. George was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Barbara Jean Smith, and a sister Barbara. Per George's wishes, no formal services will be held.
