Obituary of Elizabeth L. Meyer

Elizabeth L Meyer died peacefully at her home on June 21, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Liz married the love of her life Stanley Meyer. She left her southern roots and moved north with him. They were married 50 years before the Lord called him home. Liz was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Whitewater. She served on many committees for the church. Liz was a prominent Whitewater business woman; she owned and operated the Five Points Beauty Salon for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, a great granddaughter, Kenya, her son in law, John Kieffer, her daughter in law, Connie Meyer. She is survived by her 7 children, Dennis, WI Dells, Sandra Frye (Fred Nolte), Bethel ME, Linda Kieffer, Lake Tomahawk, Ellen Streib (Jim), Milton, David (Chris), James (Vickie), Brenda (Fred) Roloff, Ft Wayne, IN, 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, close friends, Art and Eva Hughes, John and Lu Loomis, and many extended family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church, Whitewater, WI with Rev. Susan Bresser officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, WI. Friends may call from 3-6PM on Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Whitewater, WI and after 10AM on Tuesday at the church until the time of the services.
