Obituary of Edna Elaine Sutherland

Edna Elaine Sutherland, age 98,of Whitewater, WI passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at the Fairhaven in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Edna was born in the Town of Whitewater, WI on February 6, 1915, the daughter of Oscar and Anna (Meyer) Krahn. She married Kenneth Sutherland on February 6, 1934. They farmed around the Whitewater area all their lives. Edna loved spending time with her family and most of all with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Whitewater. Surviving are: Two Daughters: Waverly (Raymond) Miles, Whitewater, WI and Marilyn (Robert) Miles, Whitewater, WI, Four Grandchildren: Gordon (Sandy) Miles, Whitewater, WI, Eddie (Rae) Miles, Madison, WI, Todd (Barbara) Miles, Chicago, IL, and Brant (Ivy) Miles, Whitewater, WI, Six Great-Grandchildren: Alison (Brian Ulrich) Miles, Fort Atkinson, WI, Kelcie Miles, Fort Atkinson, WI, Nathan Miles, Arvada, CO,�Alyssa Miles, Whitewater, WI, and Alexandra and Morgan Miles, Madison, WI, �One Great-Great-Grandchild: Hayden Ulrich, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Special Niece: Myrna (Veto) Schiro, Chicago, IL. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters: Jessie, Eunice, and Ivis, and two brothers: Harvey and Alvin. Funeral Services for Edna will be Private. The Nitardy Funeral home, Whitewater is assisting the family. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses on second floor at Fairhaven and Dr. Kenneth Kidd for the wonderful care they gave Edna.
