Obituary of Ardeth Marie Hintz

Ardeth Marie Hintz, age 88, of Delavan, WI passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at the Vintage on the Ponds in Delavan, Wisconsin. Ardeth was born in Kent, Illinois on June 18, 1925, the daughter of Louis and Martha (Prasse) Heyer. She graduated from high School in Lena, Illinois and attended Northwestern University. On June 29, 1947, Ardeth married Martin Hintz in Lena, Illinois. Martin preceded her in death on June 6, 2006. In 1951, Martin and Ardeth moved to a dairy farm in the Town of Richmond, Wisconsin. Ardeth was a longtime treasurer for the Town of Richmond, served as the treasurer for the Lakeview School Board, and was a past member of the Walworth County Farm Bureau. Ardeth was a member of the Christus Ev. Lutheran Church in Delavan, WI and a member of it's ladies aid. Surviving are: Son: David (Collette) Hintz, Elkhorn, WI and Daughter: Linda (Henry) Huhnerkoch, Alexandria, MN, Six Grandchildren, Six great-grandchildren, and Sister: Alice Price, Lena, IL. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 29, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the Christus Ev. Lutheran Church, N6116 Delaney Road, Delavan, WI 53115 with Pastor Jonathan Rossman officiating. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery, Town of Richmond, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 9:00AM on Monday, July 29, 2013 at the church until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary Tuition Assistance or to Alzheimer's Research. The Nitardy Funeral home, Whitewater, Wisconsin is assisting the family.
