Obituary of Jacqueline Lee Brokmeier

Jacqueline Lee (Jackie) Brokmeier, 78, Whitewater, passed away on August 1, 2013 at St. Mary�s Hospital in Madison. Jackie was born on July 31, 1935 in Geneva, Wisconsin. After graduating from College High School in Whitewater, she married Orlin Brokmeier on June 26, 1954. Jackie worked for Dr. Laramie, Optometrist, for many years before retiring to Mesa, Arizona, where she managed a mobile home park. Several years later they returned to their hometown, Whitewater, where she was able to rekindle many old ties and friendships Jackie was a vibrant, tough lady with a great laugh and a great sense of humor. She was the ultimate people person and always had a story to share. Jackie is survived by her sons Allen (Jeannine) Brokmeier of Kenosha and Curtis (Jeaneen) Brokmeier of Whitewater. Also surviving are her two beloved grandchildren - Steven of Kenosha, and Bailey of Whitewater. She also leaves behind many good friends and family who meant so much to her, and her special pets, Buttercup and Lily. She was preceded in death by her husband Orlin, her parents, Gilbert and Gladys Cole, her sister Joyce and brother Gary. Please join us on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Nitardy Funeral Home in Whitewater to celebrate Jackie�s life. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. with services to be held at 4 p.m.
