Obituary of Ricky DuWayne Beck

Rick DuWayne Beck � Age 57 of Cambridge. On Wednesday, August 14th, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer, Rick passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving wife surrounded by their children and family. He was a down to earth, hard- working man whose greatest love was for his family. He was a proud member of the local 314 Carpenter�s Union and he was a passionate musician who was a member of many bands, most recently the Rolling Rock Band. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Beck and his uncles Burdett Beck and Jerry Beck and numerous other aunts and uncles. He leaves behind his wife, Jane Beck (Felber); his children, Joseph, Aryel (UW-Milwk), and Hailey; his mother Carol Beck (Pardeeville); his brother Todd (Ruth) Beck, his sisters Dawn Beck and Yvonne Beck; his nieces and nephews, John (Julie) Block, Justin (LeeAnne) Block, Sabrina (Chase) Poole, Roxane Block, and Isaac Brabender. He also leaves his band mates, Maynard McIntyre, Jeff Amundson, and Ben Shult and his faithful dog Scout. It was Rick�s wish that family and friends unite in a celebration with music and memories at Murphy�s Tavern, 3737 E Washington Ave, Madison, Wisconsin on Sunday, August 25th at 1 PM. Musicians are encouraged to participate in an open jam. Rick was an extraordinary man and an extraordinary drummer and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Dad � You had an unique sense of humor that complimented your personal touches of encouragement. You raised us well. We love you and will miss you dearly.
