To the Dawson family...I am saddened to hear about Jim's passing. I have nothing but fond memories from the few times we were all able to get together and regret that I never did get to know him and y'all better as the years have passed.
God Bless all of you during this time.

Martha and Family,
So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I often wondered how he was doing. I have some great memories of working with him----remember when we painted the office yellow, the cannon he shot off at the IU football games and when he ate peanuts with the shells on? I always hit the wrong keys on the typewriter and spelled his last name Dawsib. He was patient with me. He really was a good boss and a great person! I will not be able to attend the memorial in Bloomington but will be thinking about you.

Dear Martha and family,
Unfortunately we will not be able to make the memorial ceremony in Bloomington, but we want to send you and your family our sincere condolences on your loss. Jim will always hold a special place in our heart because he had such an influence on our community and in our lives personally.
One of the last times I saw him was for the "Breakfast with the Bunny" fundraiser at the Fire Department several years ago. I was at the face painting booth and Jim asked me to put a red dot on his nose just so he could enjoy people's reaction. : )
He has left a great legacy and the BTFD family will miss him greatly.

Heather, we were so sorry to hear about your dad's death. He sounds like an amazing man. I hadn't realized how he was ahead of the curve on CPR or getting his EMT license! How neat. Our thoughts and prayers are with your whole family.
