Obituary of Agnes Theresa Towle

Agnes "Aggie" Theresa Towle, age 89, of Madison, WI formerly of Fort Atkinson, WI, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2013 at the University Hospital & Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin. Agnes was born in Marathon City, Wisconsin on June 5, 1924, the daughter of Henry R. and Amelia A. (Wolfe) Wimmer. On June 9, 1943, Aggie married Donald Towle in San Antonio, Texas. Don preceded her in death on November 13, 1990. In 1967, Don and Aggie moved to Fort Atkinson. She worked for seventeen years at Johnson Hill Press in the Art Department . Aggie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Council of Catholic Women. She also was a member of the Fort Atkinson Hospital Auxiliary and the Fort Atkinson Women's Club. Surviving are: Two sons: Ron (Elinor Riley) Towle, Bear Valley, WI and Andy (Becky) Towle, Show Low, AZ, Grandchildren: Tracy (John) Grade, Raymond O'Tigham, Joshua Towle, Zak Towle, Clifford (Holly) Havercamp III, Ashley Havercamp, and Quinlin Havercamp, Great-grandchildren: Jenna, Sonia, Blanca, Portia, Landon, and Matthew, Brothers: Henry (Sarah) Wimmer, Aurora, IL, Jerome Wimmer, Wausau, WI, and Wilfred (Ann) Wimmer, Milwaukie, OR, and Sister: Audrey Messenger, Grandbury, TX. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, September 26, 2013, at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1660 Endl Blvd, Fort Atkinson, WI with Father Brian Wilk, Father Mike Resop, and Deacon Daniel Towle con-celebrating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 10:30AM on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Atkinson until the time of the Mass. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, WI is assisting the family.
