Obituary of LaVerne H Reinke

LaVerne "Vern" H. Reinke, age 90, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Huntington Place in Janesville, Wisconsin. Vern was born in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin on May 10, 1923, the son of Albert and Ruth (Poutsch) Reinke. He had resided in Fort Atkinson most of his life. Vern served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. On September 12, 1943, Vern married Betty Hertel. Betty preceded him in death in 1988. Vern worked as an engineer for 50 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Paul Frank Florine American Legion Post # 166 in Fort Atkinson, WI. Surviving are:Three Children: Gale Kelly, Okauchee, WI, Sherry Bigelow, Whitewater, WI, and Douglas (Sue) Reinke, Janesville, WI, Six Grandchildren, Three Great-grandchildren, and Eight Great-great-grandchildren. Vern was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty, and a son, Bradley. Friends may call from 10AM-11AM on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Atkinson, WI. Burial will immediately follow the visitation at the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.
