Obituary of Ellis Lyle Meacham

Ellis Lyle Meacham, age 78, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the The Glen in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Ellis was born in Michigan on January 27, 1935. He was one of 7 children born to Frank and Edith Meacham. He was the last surviving Meacham. On September 3, 1971, Ellis married Harriet Reba and her 3yr old daughter, Dedi in Las Vegas, NV. He stepped up and became a father and a husband with so much love in his heart. Ellis worked as an electrical engineer for an oil manufacturing and plastics production company in Calif. He was the backbone for these companies and they were honored to have him. He also was a woodworker in his spare time after work. He would spend hours in the garage making tables, clocks, etc. He loved to cook. In Sept, 1984, he moved his family to Wisconsin where his wife Harriet was born so she could be with her family. He never complained once and made a new life here for his family. His health took its first turn in 1990 and he had been fighting all these years bravely and still with his warm sense of humor. Surviving are: His Wife: Harriet Meacham, Whitewater, WI and Daughter: Dedi (Curt) Young, Whitewater, WI. Ellis was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters. No Formal Services will be held. The family would like to express their loving gratitude for all the love and care they showed Ellis. He was truly happy there and loved all the staff.
