Obituary of Michael Henry Deporter
Michael Henry Deporter, age 62, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the University Hospital & Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin.
Michael was born in Whitewater, Wisconsin on March 21, 1951, the son of Henry and Neva (Stelter) Deporter. He graduated from Whitewater High School in 1969. Michael served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1970 until 1972 during the Vietnam War. On November 6, 1976, Michael married Jean Leastman in the First United Methodist Church in Whitewater, WI.
Michael worked for Veola Waste Management for 23 years.
Michael enjoyed his grandkids, watching his son and grandson race, the Packers, and traveling up North to camp and fish.
Surviving are: Wife: Jean Deporter, Fort Atkinson, WI, Two Children: Mark (Caroline Warner) Deporter, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Kim (Tim) Corcoran, Janesville, WI, Grandchildren: Sadie Pilgrim, Tyler Deporter, and Tommy Corcoran, Sisters: May and Sandy, and Brothers: Steve, Tom, Rodney, Dale, and Terry.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at 1:00 PM at the Nitardy Funeral Homes, 550 N. Newcomb Street, Whitewater, WI with Rev. Kim Brumm officiating.
Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, Wisconsin.
Friends may call after 11AM on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, WI until the time of the services.
