Obituary of Douglas Charles Perham

Douglas Charles Perham, 76, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Alden Estates, Jefferson, Wisconsin. Douglas was born on November 12, 1936 in Eau Claire, WI to Gaylord Malcolm and Margaret Selma (Erdman) Perham. He served his country in the United States Army, enlisting in November 17, 1953 until November of 1956. He married Diana Lou Severson on June 7, 1958 in Milwaukee, WI. She preceded him in death on November 2, 2003. Douglas re-enlisted in the Army in 1959 and retired from the Army as a combat engineer in 1976. He was a Vietnam veteran. Douglas and his family lived in Missouri for several years, lived in Farmington, New Mexico from 1982-2002 and had lived in Fort Atkinson since 2002. On September 24, 2010 Douglas married Judith Ann Doucette in Madison, WI. He was a DAV member and he enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Judy Perham, Fort Atkinson, WI, Children; Douglas Charles (MinDea) Perham, Roswell, NM, Timothy Allen Perham, Cambridge, WI, Dana Gene Perham, Johnson Creek, WI, Kimberly Ann Schueler, Cambridge, WI, Tina Louise Perham, Fort Atkinson, WI, Grandchildren; Laya Diane, Ian Shea, Skylar Margaret, Casey Gene, Brady Austin and Dakota James, Brother, William Gaylord (Joanne) Perham, Milwaukee, WI, Sister, Geraldine Mae Larson, Chippewa Falls, WI, Brothers; David Lee Perham, Reno, NV and Lawrence Eugene (Margie) Perham, Denver, CO. Douglas was preceded in death by his wife Diana Lou and his parents. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 1:00pm at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 1008 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson, WI. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home and on Wednesday from 12:00pm until the time of the service. Burial will take place in the Hoffman Cemetery, Rome, Wisconsin. Nitardy Funeral Home is assisting the family.
