Obituary of Gerald G. Stauffacher

Gerald G. "Jerry" Stauffacher, age 76, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Facility in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin. Jerry was born in Monroe, Wisconsin on September 5, 1937, the son of George and Louise (Salwake) Stauffacher. He graduated from Monroe High School and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Jerry served his country in the U.S. Navy. Jerry taught at Greendale High School for one year and for over 30 years at Whitewater High School. On June 17, 1961, Jerry married Jeanine Larsen in Denmark, Wisconsin. Jerry was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Whitewater, Wisconsin. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling, and woodworking. Surviving are: Wife: Jeanine Stauffacher of Whitewater, WI, His Children: Scott (Mary) Stauffacher, Menomonee Falls, WI and Kristi (Jeff) Brown, Madison, WI, Grandchildren: Lindsay and Jake, and Brother: David (Jan) Stauffacher, Fond du Lac, WI. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1225 W. Main Street, Whitewater, WI with Father Stephen Forrest officiating. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 9AM on Saturday at the Church until the time of the Mass. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater is assisting the family.
