Obituary of Kenneth Eugene Guthrie

Kenneth Eugene Guthrie, age 88, of Waterford, WI, formerly of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at the Waterford Senior Living Facility. Ken was born in Murdo, South Dakota on July 28, 1925, the son of Albert J. and Helen B. (Williams) Guthrie. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He had resided in LaCrosse before moving to Fort Atkinson in 2001. Ken worked as a personnel and industrial relations manager for the County of LaCrosse, before retiring in 1988. On August 25, 2000, Ken married Mary Jane Lyskowski. Surviving are: Beloved Wife: Mary Jane Guthrie of Waterford, WI Two Sons: Bradley D. (Rebecca) Guthrie of Livonia, MI Scott A. (Kathy) Guthrie of Winona, MN 4 Grandchildren: Katie, Sandy, Sarah, and Bryan Guthrie Sister-in-Law: June Guthrie of Murdo, SD Step-Sons: Jeffery (Connie) Krey of Cudahy Michael Krey of Johnson Creek Scott (Barbara) Krey of Plainfield Special Daughter: Linda (Kim) Saltzwadel of Cudahy Step Grandchildren: Teri (Tod) Bertram, Sheri Krey, Missy (Greg) Luedtke, Christopher Krey, and Sarah Krey. Step Great Grandchildren: Ty, Troy, Allen, Isabelle, Logan, Hunter, and Kylie Ken was preceded in death by his parents, a previous wife Gladys in 1999, and a brother Raymond Guthrie. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013, at 2:00 PM at the St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, 301 S. High Street, Fort Atkinson, WI with Rev. Paul Scharrer officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, WI. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, WI is assisting the family.
