Obituary of Charles Quentin Crabtree

Fort Atkinson, WI--Charles Quentin Crabtree, 79, passed away Saturday morning at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital. Charles was born in Elkhorn, WI on May 2, 1934, to Quentin and Marie (Wittmus) Crabtree. Charles graduated from Harvard High School in Harvard, IL., and he attended Carthage College in Kenosha, WI before joining the United States Army and traveling to Alaska for active military duty. Upon completion of his military service, he undertook ownership and growth of Chuck�s Metal Finishing Company, now in Fort Atkinson, where he remained owner/operator for more than 30 years, until his retirement. Charles married Lillie Hustad on October 22, 1991. Surviving Charles are his wife, Lillie, of Fort Atkinson, seven children, Neal (Nantana) Crabtree, Randi (James) Kubek, Charles Crabtree Jr., Robert Crabtree, Michael Crabtree, Diane (Ken) Tabaka and Kathy Rannow; 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and sister Joan (William) Hisel of Kenosha, WI. Visitation will take place at Nitardy Funeral Home, 1008 Madison Avenue, Fort Atkinson, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 15. Pastor William Bartz will officiate a Memorial Service following the visitation, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. A luncheon will follow at Jansen�s Banquet Hall, 1245 Whitewater Avenue, Fort Atkinson from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
