Obituary of Roger George Sterwalt
"Only those who know can tell, the sorrow in parting without farewell"
Roger G. Sterwalt, 68, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 9th, 2013.
Born in Watertown, Wisconsin on May 10th, 1945 to George and Irene (St. Pierre) Sterwalt. Roger graduated from Watertown High School in 1962 before entering the U.S. Army.
Those who knew Roger, knew his greatest passion was fishing. He could often be found spending his free time on the river ways and lakes throughout Wisconsin. Roger also enjoyed traveling and made trips to several National Parks across the U.S. but remained adamant in his claim that Glacier National Park/Montana was by far the most beautiful.
Roger is survived by his fishing and life companion, Chris Sedlachek, his children, Gina (John) Indra, Brian (Carrie) Loveland, Amber (Jeff) Gwaltney, Bethany (Shawn) Castleberg, Dawn (Scott) Kiernan-Sippel,�Lori Riesen, and he also survived by Kim (Rick)�Sedlachek, and sister-in-law,�Gretchen Sterwalt.
Roger took great pride in his 14 grandchildren, Drew, Lorelei, Christopher, Nathaniel, Zakari, Amelia, Andrew, Cameron, Hannah, Gavin, Keirra, Bentley, Alyx, and Sam, and great grandchild, Riley
He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Sylvia Rowaldt, and his brother, "Bert" Sterwalt.
Per Roger's request, there will be no formal services held.
