Obituary of Eugene Harold Bauer

Eugene Harold "Skinner" Bauer, age 79, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek, WI . Eugene was born on September 17, 1934 in Loyal, WI, the son of Lawrence Bauer and Bertha Abbuhl Eddy. He worked at Jones Dairy Farm for 43 years. He was a member of the Wisconsin National Guard. Eugene enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed being with his family and friends. Surviving are: his wife Jacque Bauer, sister, Lorraine (John) Haberl, nieces and nephews, step children, Jody (Pam) Mepham, and Kelly (Charles) Leibfried, and step grandchildren, Lars and Matthew Wallace. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ray Bauer, and nephew, Rick Lueder. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson, WI. A Memorial Service will be held at 4PM on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Atkinson, WI with Rev. Bryan Engfer officiating. Friends may call after 2PM on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Atkinson, WI until the time of the service.
