Obituary of Richard E. Burnette

Richard E. Burnette passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2014, with his loving family by his side. He was 56. Rick was born in Harvey, IL on May 23, 1957, to Gilbert and Carol Burnette. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1975. He worked at Schweiger Industries for 29 years and most recently at MPI. Rick loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid sports fan with a great love for the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Brewers and NASCAR racing. He also loved to hunt, fish and make people laugh. Rick is survived by his loving wife Ellen who he spent 19 years of his life with; four children, Eric (Sarah), Lori Jo (Gabriel) Milton, Heidi (Jesse) Riedl, Erica Pfafflin; five grandchildren; Joslyn Burnette, Oliver and Nola Milton, Cole and Wyatt Riedl, three brothers; James (Barbara) Burnette, Scott (Rose) Burnette, David (Diane) Burnette; two sisters, Linda Wahrer and Wendy (Jeff) Birr; two sisters-in-law, Paula (Leroy) Schmitz and Laura (Brian) Bates; one brother-in-law, John Gould; along with many nieces, nephews and very special friends, Terry and Sue Sullivan. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Bruce Burnette and Steven Burnette. The immediate family will be having a private burial on Saturday, March 15, 2014. Following the burial, all friends and family are welcome to a celebration of Rick�s life from 1-4 p.m. at 88 South Main Street, Fort Atkinson, WI. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, WI assisted the family.
