Obituary of Roger Arthur Falk

Roger Arthur Falk, age 77, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at his home. Roger was born in Madison, Wisconsin on April 9, 1936, the son of Arthur and Dorothy (Popplow) Falk. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1954. On November 22, 1958, Roger married Florence I. Fisher. Roger served in the US Army National Guard from 1954 until 1962, and was activated to active duty during the Berlin Crisis. In 1956, Roger started working at Uncle Josh Bait Company in Fort Atkinson, WI, after 44 years he retired in 2000. After retirement, Roger worked as a courier for the Fort Community Credit Union. Roger was a member of St. John's Community Church in Fort Atkinson, WI where he served on the church council for 12 years and served as custodian for 7 years. He enjoyed puttering around the house, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are: Wife: Florence Falk, Fort Atkinson, WI, Two Children: Darryl (Sue) Falk, Fort Atkinson, WI and Connie (Bruce) Bandt, Madison, WI, Grandchildren: Luke & Lindsey Falk and Brandon Bandt, Two Sisters-in-law: Carolyn (James) Hamen and Jean (John) Pawlowski, and Four Nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 23, 2014, at 4:00 PM at the St. John's Community Church, N2560 County Highway J, Fort Atkinson, WI with Rev. Kevin Butler officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Town of Sumner, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 1PM on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the church until the time of the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to St. John's Community Church, Fort Atkinson, WI or to Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson, WI. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Donald Williams and the staff at Rainbow Hospice, especially Sarah and Krista for the care they gave to Roger.
