Obituary of Ruth Eileen Kube

Ruth Eileen Kube entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 26, at Oaklawn Health Care Center, Mankato, Minnesota, at the age of 97 years. Ruth Eileen Kube was born on October 27, 1916, the daughter of Otto and Eunice Schinke nee Nelson, on the family farm at Hebron, Wisconsin. She attended rural schools and graduated from high school at Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Following a short time of attendance at nursing training in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she returned to assist on the family farm. On August 10 of 1936, she was united in marriage to Edward Carl Kube at Whitewater, Wisconsin. Their marriage was blessed with two children. Mrs. Kube was employed at a number of firms in the Jefferson, Wisconsin, area. In 1961 Ruth and Edward Kube were employed at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Mequon, Wisconsin. After a number of years, they moved to Lannon, Wisconsin. Following retirement, they lived on Trade Lake, near Gransburg, Wisconsin, in Frederick, Wisconsin and at Sparta, Wisconsin. Edward passed away in 1999. Since 2003, she made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Caroline and Pastor Del Begalka in Mankato, Minnesota. Mrs. Kube is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Caroline and Pastor Del Begalka, by Eileen Carol Weeks of Little Chute, Wisconsin, six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Carl Kube in 1999, by a brother, Orville Schinke, a sister, Auril Britton, a son-in-law, Pastor Richard Weeks, and her parents. A visitation will begin at Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 30. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. at the Nitardy Funeral Home, on Sunday, March 30, conducted by Pastor Del Begalka. A committal service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin on Monday, March 31, at 10 a.m.
