Obituary of John Robert Adamus

John Robert Adamus, age 67, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. John was born in Heilbronn, Germany on July 11, 1946, the son of John K. and Genowefa (Challers) Adamus. John served his Country in the U.S. Army from 1968 until 1972. On September 28, 1968, John married Sally Kay Vassar. Sally preceded him in death on May 13, 2006. John worked at Jones Dairy Farm in Fort Atkinson, WI. He retired as a maintenance mechanic from Jones Dairy Farm, but also had a passion for the auto industry as a master mechanic for Ford and drag raced for many years, nationwide. He enjoyed fishing, tractor pulling, and working in his garage. Surviving are: Son: Daniel John Adamus, Jefferson, WI and Step-Son: Douglas Protz, Fort Atkinson, WI and Two Grandchildren: Audi and Nicolas. Private Family Services were held. A celebration of John's life will be held at a later date. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
