Obituary of Arrie O. Wille

Arrie O Wille, age 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 of congestive heart failure. He was born May 28, 1926 in the Town of Berry, Dane County, the son of Herman and Rosa Wille. He married Shirley Engelke on February 17, 1951 at the London Moravian church. They farmed in the Lake Mills area for 40 years before retiring and moving to Lake Mills. Arrie was a "get er done kind of guy." He was always willing to lend a helping hand even up until the last few months. After retirement, he loved woodworking in his shop. He built many dollhouses, toy barns, and small furniture all of which his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are enjoying. He loved to tell a good old "Ole and Lena Joke" and always had a smile on his face. He loved the family gatherings and they never went by without a good game of euchre and a lot of laughter. Arrrie is survived by his loving wife, Shirley of 63 years. His three daughters, Connie Hoffmann, Watertown, Janice (Steven) Hasel, Lake Mills, and Heidi (James, Jr.) Ashworth, Jefferson. The Lord blest him with nine grandchildren: Carrie (Brian) Grosenick, Watertown, Dana (Mark) Grosenick, Watertown, Nicholas (Kim Turner) Hasel, Lake Mills, Heather (Nate) Schuld, Lake Mills, Holly (Justin) Christian, Lake Mills, Krystin (Jacob) Andersen, Helenville, Brandon Knaack, Watertown, Jamie (Chayla) Ashworth, Aurora, CO, and Brittany Ashworth, Denver, CO. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, Savanna, Mya, Eli and Landon Grosenick, Ashton and Zachary Grosenick, Tyler, Carson, and Tenley Schuld, Ethan Christian, Micah Andersen, and Mia Ashworth, and a sister Luella Scheele, Black Earth and a special family member, Vicki Allen of Pocatello, Idaho. Arrie was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Herman and Elmer and a wonderful son-in-law, Robert "Butch" Hoffmann. Funeral service will be held at London Moravian Church at 11:00 AM on , Monday, April 14, 2014 with Rev. Jane Folmer Zekoff officiating. Burial will follow at the Kroghville Cemetery, Town of Lake Mills, WI. A visitation will be held at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 208 N. Park St., Cambridge, WI on Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 3pm to 8pm and after 10AM on Monday, April 14, 2014 at the church until the time of the services. Memorials may be made to the London Moravian Church or the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center, Johnson Creek, WI. The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff of the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center for their wonderful care.
