Obituary of Bonnie Lee Boelkow

Whitewater, WI - Bonnie Lee Boelkow, age 67, moved on to her heavenly home on Friday, April 11, 2014, surrounded by her family and friends. Bonnie was born on July 13, 1946, in Fort Atkinson, WI the daughter of Harold and Bernice (Kreger) Bittner. Bonnie married Charles Boelkow Sr. on July 14, 1962. She was employed for 20 years by the First Citizens State Bank of Whitewater, WI until her retirement in 2011. Bonnie had a love for gardening, bird watching, sewing, reading and a deep love for Hersey Kisses. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family; she was especially involved with her children and grandchildren. Bonnie was actively involved in the church and as a 4-H leader for many years. Bonnie is survived by her husband Charles Boelkow Sr., her four children Robert (Colleen) Boelkow of Hartford, WI; Randy (Michele) Boelkow of Cudahy, WI; Charles Jr. (Donna) Boelkow of Milwaukee, WI; and Rebecca (Michael) Matteson of Whitewater, WI and her eight grandchildren Jacqueline, Meghan, Matthew, Mitchell, Jacob, Brett, Abigail, and Makenna. Bonnie is also survived by her sister Sandra (Jerry) Footit of Whitewater, WI; and many other family members and friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Barbara Jacobson. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be made to Rainbow Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Nitardy Funeral Home 550 N. Newcomb Street, Whitewater, WI�with Rev. Janice Diefenthaler officiating. Friends may call after 10:00 AM at the funeral home until the time of service.
