Obituary of John Frederick Dorsey

John Frederick Dorsey, age 51,of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Northwestern Hospitals in Chicago, Illinois due to complications from Leukemia. John was born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin on June 18, 1962 the son of John Nelson and Jean Marie (Hinkleman) Dorsey, He graduated from Delavan/Darien High School in 1980 and received a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Marketing from the UW Green Bay in 1984. On July 17, 1999, John married Jean Ann Marshall in Janesville, Wisconsin. John started his working career as the sales manager for Don and Roy's Cycle Center in Brookfield, WI, he then worked as manager for Gohr Power Sports in Waukesha, WI. John took a position as Midwest Regional Sales Manager for Triumph Motor Cycles. After Triumph, he went to work as Midwest Regional Sales Manager for Ducati Motorcycles and later Hyosung Motors serving as their Eastern Sales Manager. John currently was employed by Zero Motorcycles as their Midwest Sales Manager. John enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time "up north". Surviving are: Wife:Jean Ann Dorsey, Fort Atkinson, WI, Mother: Jean Marie Dorsey, Walworth, WI, Siblings:Thomas (Barbara) Dorsey, Walworth, WI, Linda (Robert) Goodfellow, Round Rock, TX, and Patrick Dorsey, Nashville, TN, Father and Mother-in-Law: Richard and Virginia Marshall, Fort Atkinson, WI, Brother and Sister-in-Law: Kevin and Sue Marshall, Fort Atkinson, WI. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by his father. Funeral Services will be held at 12PM on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, 1008 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson, WI with Father Andrew Hanyzewski officiating. Burial will be in the Roselawn Memory Gardens, Delavan/Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 10AM on Friday at the funeral home until the time of the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the charity of one's choice.
