Obituary of Judith Ann Crandall

Judith Ann La Mont Crandall, age 74, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Facility in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin. Judith was born in Au Train, Michigan the daughter of Martha Aileen Risku La Mont Peterson and step-daughter of Richard Lawrence Peterson. She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1958 and from the Lutheran Bible Institute in Seattle, Washington in 1962. On September 19, 1970, Judy married Russell Albert Crandall. They divorced on March 27, 1995. Judy worked for Milton College, NASCO, Trinity Lutheran Church, and The First National Bank of Fort Atkinson. She started working in 1971 at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where she worked over the years in the Theatre/Dance Department and Library Science Department, the Financial Aid Office, the University Center Ticket Office, the Curriculum and Instruction and Affirmative Action Offices, the Deans Office, and the Center for the Arts prior to her retirement on May 3, 2002. Judy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. Surviving are: Her Son: Christopher Russell (Dolly) Crandall, De Witt, IA, Grandchildren: Alivia and Kaleb, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Margaret Sophia (Otto) Olsen. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 Barrie Street, Fort Atkinson,WI. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 10AM on Thursday at the church until the time of the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to the Humane Society of Jefferson County. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin is assisting the family.
