Obituary of James Oliver Buswell

James Oliver Buswell, age 71, of Cambridge, WI, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, on Friday, May 16, 2014. Jim was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 8, 1942, the son of Roy and Ethelyn (Edquist) Buswell.� On August 22, 1964, Jim married his best friend and soul mate, Christine Anne Johnson in Rockford, Illinois. Jim and Chris enjoyed spending their lives together and looked forward to celebrating their 50th anniversary this summer. Jim was a dedicated technical education teacher with the Rockford Public School District for 24 years. After retiring�from teaching, Jim worked with his wife for 10 years at Disney World in Orlando, Florida where he looked forward to winter visits from his children and grandchildren. Jim was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Cambridge, Wisconsin and was involved in the community men's choir for many years.� He loved spending summers at his home on Lake Ripley with his children and grandchildren where he could often be found fishing on the dock. Jim also enjoyed building sets for the Cambridge Community Theater and camping with family and friends. Surviving are his wife: Chris; children: Karen (Matthew) Frey, Kathleen (Andrew) Larson, Jane (Karen Rinka) Buswell, and Jim (Maureen Mahr) Buswell; grandchildren: Marcie and Kelsie Frey, Alex, Abby, and Addison Larson, and Margaret Buswell; sister: Kathleen (Jim) Greenland; and Yorkshire Terrier: Evey. Jim was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 6:30PM at Grace Lutheran Church 501 Skogen Road, Cambridge, WI with Rev. Dan Dibbert officiating. Friends may call after 4:00PM on Tuesday at the church until the time of the services. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at the UW Hospital and Agrace Hospice for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Agrace Hospice Care, Madison, WI or to the American Cancer Society. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Cambridge, WI is assisting the family.
